About dive center

We are a Sri Lankan owned and run dive school with two beautiful locations—Unawatuna on the south-west coast and Trincomalee on the north-east coast of Sri Lanka. Sumith Wijesena, the owner and manager of both dive centres, is a certified diver from Germany and has over 22 years of diving experience. He first helped manage a dive centre in Unawatuna, then started his own with a skilled team of certified divers. Now, we offer diving in both Unawatuna and Trincomalee during their diving seasons.

The Unawatuna Dive Centre is located at Unawatuna Bay, which is known as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. It`s only a short drive from the famous Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can reach us from Colombo in about 50 minutes using the Southern Expressway.

The Trincomalee Dive Centre is on the calm and clear waters of Uppuveli Beach on the east coast. This area is great for diving, with amazing coral reefs, shipwrecks from World War II, and very good visibility. The diving season in Trincomalee is from May to October, and in Unawatuna it is from October to April, so you can enjoy diving all year round.

If you don`t want to dive, there are lots of other fun things to do—like snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, boat rides, watching whales and dolphins, jet skiing, and water skiing. We also have glass bottom boat trips and turtle safaris, which are fun for both kids and adults. Or, if you just want to relax, you can lie on one of our beach beds and enjoy the sunset—either behind the Roomassala Temple in Unawatuna or over the peaceful sea in Trincomalee.
